As Chief Compliance Officer, Mary manages the firm’s legal activities and compliance program.
Prior to joining Waldron Private Wealth, Mary was the chief compliance officer and chief counsel for a regional investment adviser, responsible for creating, implementing, and administering policies and procedures, as well as support systems. Mary also worked for a compliance consulting firm where she specialized in developing and testing compliance programs for investment advisers and broker-dealers. During law school, Mary was a summer associate for the Education Law Center in Pittsburgh, PA where she assisted in litigation preparation, administrative and regulatory advocacy, as well as parent and community engagement. Mary was also a legal intern for JetBlue Airways where she worked on a variety of employment law issues. Prior to law school, Mary was a Credit Manager for Wells Fargo Financial where her responsibilities included educating customers on a variety of financial services, including unsecured personal loans, real estate loans, and debt consolidation loans.
Mary received her Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse College of Law, in 2013. In addition, Mary earned a Master of Science degree from Syracuse University School of Education as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from SUNY Geneseo. Today, Mary is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and holds the designation of Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional from National Regulatory Services, Inc. Outside the office, Mary likes to spend time outdoors and volunteering. At Syracuse University, Mary was recognized by the College of Law for her community service work in the Syracuse area. More recently, Mary volunteered as an assistant coach for Girls on the Run in Pittsburgh and is a member of the Borough of Franklin Park Recreation Board. Originally from Long Island, Mary relocated to the Pittsburgh area in 2013 and currently resides in Wexford with her husband, two sons, and German Shepherd.
