Matt is a partner and the president of the firm. He leads Waldron’s strategic vision, brand and value proposition, and overall culture.
For more than 20 years, Matt has been helping entrepreneurs and their families simplify their financial lives. After earning a degree in Investment Management from Duquesne University, Matt earned an Executive Financial Planning degree from Duquesne University. Prior to becoming a partner and the president at Waldron, Matt served in several roles, including Chief Investment Strategist and Chief Investment Officer, where he was instrumental in creating and refining Waldron’s investment discipline. At Duquesne University’s Graduate School of Leadership and Professional Studies, Matt became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional.
At Waldron, Matt focuses on expanding our service offering across multiple generations of clients and leveraging technology to enhance client experience. In 2016, Duquesne University recognized Matt as their “Young Alumni of the Year.” Matt is in the media frequently and has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Private Wealth Magazine, Wall Street Week, Forbes, and Smart Money.
Outside of the office, Matt has been involved in various boards and charitable programs, including past board member of Washington County Habitat for Humanity. He is an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization – Chapter Chair 2021-2022, the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association, Duquesne University Business School Advisory Council, Duquesne University Adult and Finance Committee, PACE School – Treasurer, Propel Foundation – Endowment Chair, and North Allegheny Soccer Club – Soccer Coach. Matt resides in the North Hills of Pittsburgh with his wife and their four children.
